HUS New Children's Hospital

The HUS New Children’s Hospital introduced a modern LED-powered virtual aquarium, transforming its spaces with interactive creativity and vibrant visuals. Children can bring their own artwork to life by adding their custom-designed fish to the digital display, offering a joyful and engaging escape during their hospital stay. This durable, energy-efficient installation combines technology and imagination to brighten the hospital environment for young patients and their families.

Interactive Virtual Aquarium at the Children's Hospital – Bringing Joy to Young Patients

In the fall of 2023, the Hus New Children’s Hospital underwent a significant visual transformation with the modernization of its virtual aquarium into a cutting-edge LED wall. This new technology breathes life into the artwork with vibrant colors and fluid motion, creating a joyful and uplifting atmosphere within the hospital.

A Creative and Interactive Experience for Children

The interactive virtual aquarium invites children to actively participate in its creation. They can color their own fish and see them come to life as part of the digital aquarium, swimming alongside other creations. This engaging and imaginative activity brings a sense of wonder and variety to their days in the hospital, allowing them to experience the joy of seeing their artwork animated in real-time.

The interactive nature of the aquarium helps children to shift their focus to something positive and inspiring. It offers a meaningful and uplifting experience within the hospital environment, providing small yet impactful moments of happiness.

Vivid Colors and Practical Benefits – The Advantages of LED Technology

The new LED technology ensures exceptional brightness and vivid color quality, making the virtual aquarium visually stunning for children and adults alike. Designed for durability and energy efficiency, the LED wall is a practical and reliable solution for the hospital’s daily use, ensuring long-lasting value.

Toni Hämäläinen, Project Sales Manager, notes:
"The original technology behind the artwork had reached the end of its lifecycle, so our aim was to revitalize it and enhance its visual impact. With LED technology, the installation now has at least twice the lifespan, which is fantastic—it means it can continue to bring joy to children and their families for many years to come. Seeing how enthusiastically the updated installation has been received has been truly rewarding."

Using Creative Technology to Brighten Lives

The virtual aquarium at the Children’s Hospital enriches the environment with color and joy, while offering children an opportunity to express their creativity and contribute to the artwork. This seamless integration of technology and creativity transforms the hospital experience, providing young patients with moments of happiness and a sense of accomplishment.

Audico is proud to deliver innovative, user-centered solutions that enhance well-being and create lasting value for all.
