Askersund Center of Knowledge
Askersund Municipality had a vision to create a centre for knowledge and culture - a building that serves as a gathering place and catalyst for creativity, music, education and information in the municipality.
In addition to Sjöängsskolan for grades 6-9, the goal was to create a building that also houses a multi-purpose hall with 500 seats, a cultural school specializing in music, dance and drama, and to relocate the main library and current adult education there.
Audico (then Bright Installation AB) presented a solution that included the installation, programming and commissioning of a Dolby Atmos system in Askersund Municipality's Knowledge and Culture Centre. Additionally, a complete AV system was installed and commissioned.
The control system for the AV equipment as well as the biosystem is based on a Creston processor with two touch screens, one of which is placed in a table stand at the mixing area and one in the Bright Calling Station, a control interface for AV management, placed at the inspection area behind the stage. Both screens allow control of the venue. Users can select pre-set lighting scenes for the stage and venue, adjust sound volume, choose the image source for the projector, and make calls to the system outside the multi-purpose room.
Audico also supplied and installed a new and complete sound system for KKC Askersund Sjöängsskolan's large auditorium. The sound system consisted of a NEXO system that was installed with the aim of improving the sound experience in the hall. The system can also be rigged down and used for events internally in other rooms at Sjöängen as well as externally outside the Sjöäng premises - ensuring the system is adaptable, flexible, and partially mobile.
